Multiple usage with versatile card
With Vizada’s Universal Card™ you benefit from the simplicity of a single prepaid service providing cost-effective voice, messaging and web usage over multiple satellite services.
- Call charged only when the person being called answers.
- Vizada’s Service Providers have access to call data records via the Universal Card Manager tool in The Source®.
- Two card formats to suit every need:
- physical card: a debit card with PIN concealed on the back of the card
- virtual card: PIN sent by secure email, avoiding potential delay or logistical problems and shipping costs.
- Prepaid messaging with version 7.0 and higher of Vizada’s free SkyFile Mail™ software.
Please note the limited lifetime of prepaid cards:
- Unused cards: expire two years after purchase, unless there have been one or several reloads
(expiry one year after last reload).
- Used cards: expire one year after first usage, unless there have been one or several reloads
(expiry one year after last reload).

FleetBroadband: simultaneous voice, broadband data at speeds up to 432 kbps and streaming video up to 256 kbps.
OpenPort: simultaneous voice, data and streaming video up to 128 kbps**.
Fleet family: voice, fax, ISDN data up to 128 kbps and MPDS compliant with the GMDSS.
Iridium Maritime: voice, fax and data up to 9.6 kbps*.
Inmarsat B: voice, fax, data up to 64 kbps and compliant with the GMDSS.
Inmarsat Mini M: satellite phone for voice, fax & data up to 2.4 kbps.
GAN: voice, fax and data up to 64 kbps.

New generation Universal Card enables prepaid web usage
The Universal Card™ now enables you to use the Internet, in addition to making voice calls and sending emails and text messages – making it the most comprehensive prepaid communications solution in the MSS marketplace.
- At sea, the Universal Card lets crew members make voice calls, send emails and text messages, and access the Internet on board ship. Costs are charged directly to the crew on a single card, significantly reducing administration for IT & communications officers.
- On land, Vizada’s Universal Card can be used by personnel & staff in the field to make calls over all Inmarsat terminals and Iridium handheld satellite phones. Prepaid messages can be sent using SkyFile® Mail as well as over a web connection with BGAN and ThurayaIP terminals.
- Service providers can manage all aspects of the Universal Card in The Source® - ordering new cards, reloading credit, and monitoring traffic now including data calls.
